Free Online Wellness Classes to Support Communities Facing Racism

OTHER BOX is partnering with UNEARTHED, an online well-being community platform offering over 300 classes in movement, breathwork and meditation, to help support our community’s wellbeing in light of THE last week's events.

The people who gathered to stand up against fascism yesterday showed that love, union, and community will always win. But it doesn’t mean racism in this country is over.

Tensions are still high. When stress levels are heightened, and you feel that your very existence is threatened, seeing people come together in solidarity is reassuring, but it doesn’t automatically mean safety and peace for the communities affected.

If you’re finding yourself in a state of fight, flight, or freeze, exhausted but too wired to sleep, anxious about leaving the house and/or unable to think about anything other than what’s been happening over the last week, we have something that might help.

OTHER BOX is partnering with UNEARTHED by Angie Tiwari, an online wellbeing community platform offering 300+ classes in movement, yoga, breath work, and meditation, all led by South Asian teachers.

We’re offering you a one-month free membership.

Together, let's continue to care for each other and ourselves—including our mind, body and soul, as we navigate these challenging times. Join us in building compassion, resilience, and solidarity through self-care and community support.

We're in this together.

To claim this offer, visit the UNEARTHED WEBSITE [LINK] and use the code ‘BELONGING’ at checkout to get 1 month of free access.

At Other Box, we believe that people of colour and people from other underrepresented communities should learn how to better regulate their emotions and stress responses. This is because the frequency of facing systemic racism, discrimination, and microaggressions can take a significant toll on our mental and physical health. Chronic exposure to such stressors can lead to anxiety, depression, and other health issues. By learning to regulate emotions through practices like mindfulness, movement, and breathwork, we can build resilience, protect our well-being, and empower ourselves against the adversities we face daily.

Self-care is a deeply personal act, unique to each individual, and vital for sustaining the long-term fight against oppression.
